what i'm thankful for & a giveaway!

i love this time of year. the time between halloween and christmas. the time, that for some reason, gets a little bit forgotten. it makes me crazy that christmas music is already playing on the radio and the stores are all decked out for the holidays. even santa clocked in early this year, we saw him at the mall last night! i have fond memories of my childhood and this time of year. a big thanksgiving meal and then we'd hit the country club plaza to watch the lights come on. and the day after thanksgiving, we would put up our christmas tree. i carry this tradition on with my own family now. i will post photos of some of my autumn decor in another post this week but let's get to the fun part of this post............ a giveaway!

what am i thankful for? let me count the ways! one thing i am REALLY thankful for this year are my blog readers. i have been blogging for 14 months now and still can't get over the fact that people actually read what i write. some even leave comments! i am thankful for all of you blog stalkers out there too! ;) so i decided to give this tray away. here are the rules:

** leave a comment and tell me what YOU are thankful for this year,

**be sure that you also leave me your email address in the comment.

i will close the giveaway at midnight CST on wednesday, november 19th.

random drawing will decide the winner and i will announce it by noon on thursday. the tray you see above is the tray you will win. no asking to swap afterwards please.

GOOD LUCK! and thank you again for checking out my blog!

The winner is: KIM! Thanks to those that played along. You all are lucky 'winners' in that you have so much to be thankful for!

I'm thankful for so many things. This year I'm very thankful that my brother who had a major stroke in May is finally starting to walk again. His progress is very slow but slow and steady wins the race!

I am also very thankful for you letting me know about this wonderful giveaway! You know I adore your trays!!!!

As much as I hate to let anyone know about this giveaway and make my chances slimmer of winning, I'm going to post this giveaway on my blog for you because I think more people need to come here and read your wonderful blog full of so much great stuff.

Big hugs,

Oh and before I go, thanks for the tip on putting chocolate chips in your pumpkin bread. I've never thought to do that but I will the next batch I bake. Sounds wonderful to me.

what a lovely blog! I'm so thankful that my family is healthy - sometimes we take it for granted but we shouldn't. Erin ekplumb@cox.net

I'm thankful for the great new job I just started. And that I have a job at all. I'm thankful for my wonderful family...hubby, 16-year-old son and healthy 86-year-old mother. And my HUGE family of aunts, uncles and cousins that I will get to see next week in Oklahoma. (Our record attendance was 90 people.) And I'm thankful for all the wonderful friends I have. I love them all to pieces.

I am thankful for the innocence and unending love of my 3 children. I'm not always the mom I want to be, but they keep me trying harder each day to do my best as they remind me who is really in charge. I'm also so thankful for the friendship and guidance of my own mother. What a blessing that she is always there to support me on this journey. I realize that I am really lucky to have her when so many of my friends no longer have their moms here. Life is good. Jenny Doherty boutiquebabychic@yahoo.com

What am I thankful for? Ultimately, that my children are healthy and happy, that I have such a good husband, and that we have a warm home to shelter us. I don't need much else...

Great give-away! Thanks for letting me know about it!

I just received in the mail a donation envelope for St. Jude's Hospital, so I thank God for my beautiful and healthy children. I try not to take that for granted but in busy everyday life I forget that there are parents in a hospital somewhere praying for just a little more time. I am also thankful for all of the servicemen and women past and present keeping us safe and sacrificing Thanksgiving dinner and time with their family so that we may all have our freedom. God Bless you, Paula
